Duties

  3. Rebuild torque converters according to specifications, ensuring all parts are correctly aligned and functioning.
  4. Utilize power tools and machinery for machining tasks as needed during the rebuilding process.
  5. Read and interpret technical manuals to understand assembly requirements.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  7. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve rebuilding processes.

We are seeking a skilled Transmission/Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at using hand tools to install, maintain, and repair various automotive systems, especially transmissions. This technician role is crucial in ensuring that our vehicles operate efficiently and meet high-quality standards. The Installation Technician will work closely with other technicians and service personnel to deliver exceptional service to our clients. Technician to supply their own tools – primary diagnostics scanner provided!

Duties

  1. Perform installations of automotive parts and systems according to specifications; Primary focus being transmissions/installation.
  2. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring optimal performance.
  3. Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues related to automotive electrical systems.
  4. Execute diesel engine repairs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  5. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during installations.
  6. Collaborate with team members to improve installation processes and service delivery.

Skills

  1. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics. Heavy line experience required!
  2. Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
  3. Familiarity with diesel engine repair techniques is preferred.
  4. Ability to understand and work on automotive electrical systems.
  5. Experience as a service technician or in a similar role is advantageous.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in vehicle maintenance tasks.
  7. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
